Simple wedding favours

Following on from last week’s blog post, which had pictures of The Leaf Press’s new wedding favours tags, this week’s post has some ideas for simple wedding favours which use the tags.

All the following ideas for simple wedding favours have been created with items that are widely available online or in supermarkets. The packaging options are available from retailers such as Amazon or Ebay. Many of the packaging options could be used for homemade wedding favours e.g. soap, fudge or jam.

Bar of soap – either make your own or google ‘handmade soap mini bars’ to find a variety of specialist soap producers.

Organza bag – available in a variety of sizes and colours from Ebay and Amazon; can be filled with pretty much anything e.g. sweets, chocolates.

Lollipop – this example is a Thornton’s heart lollipop. Another other option would be cake pops (which can be purchased from your wedding cake maker or made yourself).

Jam/chutney – make yourself or use mini jars from manufacturers such as Tiptree. Empty jars can be purchased online and could be used to contain another item such as sweets. You can use fabric which matches your wedding colours and theme to cover the lids.

Fabric – cut circles of fabric and use to hold just about anything. This example is from my cousin’s wedding and contains chocolates and mini packets of Love Hearts.

Cello bag – available in a variety of sizes and very cheap. Use to contain sweets, chocolates, a home made product – just about anything.

Box – mini jewellery style boxes can be purchased online and are available in a variety of sizes and colours. They are ideal for home made wedding favours or anything fragile.

Finally the following picture shows The Leaf Press’s favours tags attached to cutlery. Hopefully both this and the other photos show how the favours tags can be used as a place card too.
