The Leaf Press’s wedding place cards have had a makeover! They are a new larger size of 10 x 10.5 cm or 10 x 5.25 cm when folded, but have remained the same price.
The reason for this is largely technical and to do with the grain direction (yawn) of the Conqueror card that is used for wedding stationery. Without going into too much of an explanation, all manufactured card is made of long grains which lie parallel to each other. It’s more difficult to fold card against the direction the grain goes in. So the wedding place cards are now printed so that the fold is along the grain, meaning a nice crisp fold at the top.
The change of format also means there is more room on the wedding place cards for the name and decorative elements. Some of the designs have been tweaked slightly to reflect this. The gallery below shows the current designs.
As with all of The Leaf Press’s stationery, the wedding place cards are available in a choice of card surfaces – white smooth, white textured, ivory smooth or ivory textured. Each of the designs is based on a colour scheme of two or three colours – please see the Wedding Stationery Designs page for further details.
